Wolfgang Weimer-Jehle

Wolfgang Weimer-Jehle 1976-84 Study of Physics and Synergetics at the University of Stuttgart.

1984-90 Research assistant to Hermann Haken, Institute for Theoretical Physics and Synergetics of the University of Stuttgart. Working on the behaviour of complex dynamic and self-organizing systems.

1990-92 Engineering and consultancy enterprise Fichtner, working on safety analysis and accident impacts.

1992-2003 Project manager at the Center of Technology Assessment, responsible for projects in the field of energy consumption, energy supply, climate change, energy policy, climate policy, scenario analysis and mathematical modelling. Since 1998 deputy director of the department technology, functionality, quality of life.

Since 2004 Senior research fellow at the University of Stuttgart, department of social sciences and vice-director of ZIRN (Interdisciplinary research unit on risk governance and sustainable technology development).

Cross-impact analysis

Systems analysis and scenario analysis using structural analysis and cross-impact balance analysis. Contributions to cross-impact research, particularly the development of Cross-Impact Balance Analysis (CIB). Experience in numerous cross-impact application projects.
